Lanchester Old School Ghost Hunt

In 1878 Cessily Ritson came to the school as a teacher and within the year she had forced out the current Head Mistress and became Head Mistress herself. After a few years, Cessily was sacked as a result of complaints from parents and children claiming that they had been beaten by the Head Mistress and made them bleed, many with stick marks on their back . Upon being sacked the Head Mistress vowed that, 'they would not get her out of the school'. It is her presence that is said to be seen, as an apparition in white walking from one room to another

People have been pushed or even scratched by something that they cannot see. Workmen have reported hearing unexplained sounds and seeing things out of the corner of their eyes only to turn and see nothing there. Visitors complain of feeling unnerved and some report feeling dread when walking around the building.
