Landscape stitching

This one-day workshop will introduce you to simple printing and stitching techniques to create your own unique hand stitched landscape in the creative setting of the Wink at No 14.

Using a variation of different fabric backgrounds and simple heat printing techniques using an iron, you will build up layers of materials combined with different embroidery stitches and appliqué to create your own unique stitched landscape.

All abilities of hand stitchers are welcome. The workshop will cover stitches such as French knots, feather and seeding stitching along with creative straight stitching and appliqué of materials to finish your textile landscape.

All materials will be provided, and you will have a selection of materials to create your textile background. You can create one larger piece or a triptych of small samples to create your final piece, which will be bound and mounted ready for you to frame.

If you have a photograph of your favourite landscape, please do bring it along as inspiration.

Spaces are limited to 5, so please book early. A light lunch and refreshments included in the ticket price.

If you need to cancel for any reason, please give us notice as soon as possible so that we may offer your space to another person.

If your booking is within 10 days of the course date, you will receive 50% of the full course amount. If over 10 days, a full refund will be offered.
