Language 2 – Parent Workshop
Overview
The Language 2 Parent Workshop builds on language development and focuses on practical strategies to support children’s understanding and use of language. This workshop explores how children develop language and the benefits of bilingualism.
Parents and carers will learn how to support communication through the use of visuals, simplifying language, asking effective questions, and using Colourful Semantics to support understanding of books. The workshop also explores developing language for maths, science, storytelling, and sequencing skills.
