Event description
An online workshop for scholars interested in Leadership as Practice

About this event

If you are considering research in the area of Leadership-as-Practice, there are some potholes that you need to avoid. While avoiding those potholes, other methods of research become possible and intriguing. We have assembled a faculty to help you to understand the research choices that lie ahead for you. We will cover how to navigate your data collection and analysis to make sure it fits the research question you are seeking to answer. Importantly, we will show you some methods that are not widely used but are entirely appropriate for LAP. For example, Marian Iszatt White will talk about ethnomethodologically-informed ethnography and Jenny Robinson will explain video ethnography. To frame the entire session, Joe Raelin will consider some of the bigger questions of matching methodology and method with a field that is process-based, non-individualized, and praxis-oriented.
