BACKGROUND
We are delighted to announce that London Art Services (LAS) is officially a charity: London Art Services Community. Founded in 2025, LAS is a studio and gallery complex built entirely by artists for artists. As a charity we support marginalised and working-class artists by providing affordable studio space, exhibition opportunities, and a platform for professional development. Through a programme of residencies, public events and mentorship the we foster inclusive participation in the arts, particularly for individuals who face structural barriers to creative careers.
What makes LAS unique is its independence. We are not driven by the market or bycommercial constraints. There is no representation, no gatekeeping, only artists at the centre working side by side, collaborating and shaping the programme. This is a place where different cultural communities come together, creating a peer-to-peer network of support and exchange. At a time when smaller galleries are struggling and larger institutions play it safe, LAS exists to keep risk, experimentation, and cultural diversity alive.
LAS is a new institution built on integrity and transparency with a long-term commitment to the arts. Supporting LAS means preserving conditions where art can remain authentic, uncompromising and transformative. This is only the beginning. With your support LAS will hopefully endure as a beacon of artist-run culture for future generations to come. Due to generous sponsorship of dinner the full value of the ticket donation will go directly to LAS, any extra donations will be most gratefully welcomed.
We look forward to welcoming you on the 14th October!
