LAS study day: Intermediate care - when is it safe not to convey?

London Ambulance Service staff are invited to an intermediate care study day which will take place on Thursday the 8th December 2016 at The Cassel Hospital, 1 Ham Common, Richmond, Surrey, TW10 7JF.
Registration is between 8:30 – 9:30am and the study day will finish by 5pm:
• Parking is available around Ham Common – beside the Cassel Hospital
• Free lunch, and tea & coffee will be provided
• This is a free CPD event with certificate
• Staff will not be released for this event, no overtime or time in lieu is available.
Intended topics will include:
Intermediate care services - in Hounslow / Ealing / Hammersmith - including Rapid Response & Single Point of Access.
Breathlessness (COPD / HF) - who can safely be left at home for Rapid Response and what might happen next for these inderviduals in intermediate care or other frailty pathways
Falls - differential diagnoses, when to convey and who might be suitible for Rapid Response, what other pathways are availible for inderviduals who have fallen?
Confusion and capacity - Covering differentials about confusion (acute/chronic) and where delirium can safely be managed at home.
Q&A Panel which will include challenging cases
