  • Malfi Dorantes, MalfiCo (Mexico)

Malfi Dorantes, kicked off her way into the music business 14 years ago, becoming one of the first Mexican women dedicated to independent music promotion. Malfi is in charge of MalfiCo, the first press agency in Mexico that specializes in music, formed 8 years ago. Over the years, MalfiCo has collaborated with bands such as Datarock, Whitest Boy Alive, Peter, Bjorn & John and Kakkmaddafakka, working to amplify their presence and expand their audience in Mexico. She is also a Communications professor and has worked as a Journalist and Music Photographer for numerous publications.

  • Adel Hattem, DMusicMarketing (Mexico)

Adel Hattem is CEO and Founder of DMusicMarketing, an agency that develops non-latin talent in the Latin American market. Based in Miami, a city that hosts major Latin American entertainment companies, DMM offers efficient, dynamic and all-encompassing solutions to its clients in order to overcome and conquer the intricacies of the market.

A bicultural marketing specialist with 20+ years of experience in the music industry, Adel Hattem held senior positions with industry giants before founding DMM in 2013. She worked as Marketing Director for Universal Music Mexico, Vice President of Marketing for Latin America at EMI and Marketing Manager at BMG Entertainment. While working with the majors, Adel helped develop and set a footprint in the market for talent such as Arctic Monkeys, Placebo, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, David Guetta, Norah Jones, and Katy Perry, among others.

With DMM she now works with renowned labels like the Beggars Group, Domino Recordings, Ultra, and the Secretly Canadian Group, and has a diverse portfolio of artists such as Major Lazer, Björk, Flume, The xx, Bon Iver, Interpol, Sharon Van Etten and Lauv, among others. DMM has seen exponential growth in the last couple of years and continues to expand as new clients arrive, eager to explore and discover their impact in the Latin American region.

  • Luis Felipe Rios, Rios Music (Colombia)

After many years working as a promoter in two different venues of my own in Bogota, managing an electronic artist - Cero39-, working for the Colombian government on our music export policy, and three years managing artist marketing at a label-services oriented distribution company for Latam and Us Latin markets, I decided to go again indie. Backed by Cultura Profetica (the biggest reggae band in Latam) and some other industry partners located in Miami, that have been my clients since then, I've been handling, for about a year, their digital promotion and label administration.

  • Abraham Lopez, Altiplano (Mexico)

Abraham López is a 35-year-old Mexican who has been committed to the development of the new Mexican music industry for the last 13 years. In early 2007 he started promoting international acts within several cities in México, establishing a very good relationship with some Norwegian related acts such as The Whitest Boy Alive and Kings of Convenience. He was drummer and manager of his own band Technicolor Fabrics for 12 years and got to know first hand how to develop musical projects from scratch within Mexico's alternative scene. For the last 7 years, Abraham’s main focuses are on his Management/MKT(altiplano) and Booking (MANO Booking) agencies, where he works with over 30 Mexican, Latin and European artists.

  • Gustavo Mezo, Monart Agency (France/Mexico)

Gustavo Mezo is the founder of Monart Agency, a marketing and management agency based in Paris. Monart contributes to Artist strategies that want to connect their music with audiences while building sustainable music careers. Monart operates both in France and Mexico, with special focus in connecting European artists with Mexican audiencies and vice versa. Monart Agency was founded in 2011, and has collaborated with artists such as Manuel Rocheman, Catherine Sikora, Chris Culpo, Fox, Alex Mercado, Carolina Katún and more recently with Jean-Michel Pilc and Andy Emler.
