Dean joined his father’s insurance brokerage before going into business himself in 1999. Since then it and he has gone from strength to strength. As CEO of Charles James Financial Planning, Dean also advises personal clients on investment and pension work. Dean has developed the organisation to cater for all types of people from all walks of life, so that as well as financial planning advice the group of companies he is connected with and has interests in, can help clients with all types of areas along their life points. The success of the Charles James business gained Dean an entry in the 2010 Who’s Who publication of Britain’s Business Elite. The firm was in the
FTAdviser Awards Top 100 Financial Advisers in 2018. Dean is also a keynote speaker and author. He has presented to audiences at events, conferences and workshops in the UK, Europe and Middle East. In November 2011 Dean became a director of Decode Studios, a web, IT and software development company that he had overseen the creation of, providing resource and management support to enable the business to bring its products to market. Dean is author of ‘The Sixty Day Success Blog’ which was published by Management Books in October 2009. His second book, ‘Growing‘Growing Your Own Money’ is due to be published in January 2019.
