About this event

Health • Yoga

Living in tune with the seasons helps us conserve vital energy and use it wisely. Late Summer practice is all about the organs of digestion (the Stomach and Spleen), as we learn to 'digest' what we take in, both physically and emotionally. This can help boost self-esteem, and may help bring greater stability as we prepare for the seasons yet to come, with Late Summer practice being particularly supportive of our autumn wellbeing. If you've been to one of our seasonal retreats before then you have a good idea what to expect on the day.If this is your first time, just know that you are in for a treat! You will leave feeling restored and rested, nourished by good food and good company, relaxed and yet energised as we work with the energies of the Earth element and the Stomach and Spleen meridians 🧡Our session runs from 10:30am to 4pm to allow all the time we need for our seasonal yoga and movement practice, with carefully selected pranayama (breathwork) to support and enhance the effects of tuning in to the season, plus space for quiet reflection and meditation.Weather-permitting we can eat outside and explore the gardens, perhaps taking some time to walk barefoot on the grass, grounding and earthing ourselves by re-connecting to nature through our senses. We will finish with a deeply relaxing Seasonal Yoga Nidra (a long, guided relaxation, designed to allow us to rest, while untangling the granthis, the knots in the mind). Letting go of tension in the body AND soul ...
