About this event

We would like to warmly invite you to join us at the 20th Latest Advances in Psychiatry International Symposium, organised on behalf of the International Society for Affective Disorders (ISAD) and the journal Progress in Neurology and Psychiatry (Wiley). For the first time there will be an option to see the event by virtual attendance or by in-person attendance at the Royal College of Physicians, London. The overall theme of the event will be 'Psychiatry after Covid'.

We are delighted to have the keynote lecture titled: ‘The Neurobiology and Unmet Clinical Need of Mood Disorders in a Peri-Post Covid Environment’ by Dr Mark A Frye. Other excellent speakers at the event include Professor Rachel Upthegrove, Dr Timothy Nicholson, Professor Alka S Ahuja MBE and Dr David Cousins. Key topics covered will be therapeutic potential of a transdiagnostic approach to early-stage mental illness, neuropsychiatry of Covid, changing the way we deliver mental health care and lithium and the brain.

Some comments from delegates’ feedback after attending the 2021 symposium included: “Thank you for inviting me to join this wonderful symposium!”, “Simply amazing. What a line up!”, “There was so much solid learning and insights.” and “It was a useful event for my professional development”.
