Tom Jelliffe - Building Indestructible Earbuds:

Tzuka’s earbuds are an interplay of novel software and hardware, boasting a number of new-to-market features. Tzuka are currently preparing for launch and have completed 5 small batch manufacturing rounds.

Tom will take us through his journey from idea all the way through to production and everything in between.

About our Speaker:

Tom Jelliffe:

Tom is the Founder and CEO of Tzuka, based out of Loughborough University’s Science and Enterprise Park.

On his journey, Tom has two granted patents and four more pending, raised over £1m in equity investment, a further £250k in grants and recently completed the prestigious Techstars Sports Accelerator in Indianapolis, USA.

A Solution Architect Manager at Avanade, along with a Director of PJG Creations Ltd, Pete is an IoT Specialist presenting his expertise worldwide on an extensive list of topics. With industry experience with software design, building monitoring systems and all kinds of IoT services, Pete is also passionate in sharing his expertise through hosting professional events, podcasts and Twitch streams.

Sam Stephens

Expert in securing R&D funding through innovation grants and tax Incentives, Sam directs TBAT Innovation Limited, an independent Consultancy helping companies for over 20 years through the cradle-to-grave of new product and process innovation. Assisting organisations in accessing grant funding and tax incentives to drive innovation, Sam is the person to talk to for all engineering and tech companies interested in starting or expanding their R&D capabilities.

John Duncan

John is the Director of Lacerta Technology Limited which is renowned throughout thermal technology businesses. John supports companies with specialist expertise in characterising a wide range of materials: polymers, rubbers, food, pharmaceuticals, composites, and adhesives. As such John is well versed in product development and quality control across a multitude of sectors.

Mike Petty

Director of Loughborough Surface Analysis Ltd, Mike directs an established and well-known laboratory in Loughborough providing contract analysis and solutions using advanced analytical techniques capable of probing down to the nanoscale. Mike is known to many industries – providing R&D and QC services for semiconductors, metals and coatings, adhesives, ceramics and other processes.
