Laudato Si Annual Gathering for Animators in England and Wales Day 2

Welcome to the second day of the Laudato Si Annual Gathering! Join us at the Laudato Si Centre for a day filled with prayer, dialogue, reflection, and action so that members of the Laudato Si’ Movement present in UK can get to know each other and build relationships.

The days will be led by Emily Cahill, Laudato Si’ Centre Environment and Learning Officer. Emily is also a Laudato Si animator.

We will use the gardens, woodland and outdoor areas for most of the day. There is a small classroom. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring stout footwear to walk in the woods. Please contact us for any specific access requirements.

There will be a small charge for vegan soup and refreshments today. Please advise in advance of any dietary requirements.

There is no access to Wardley Hall on the day.

Access: There is a car park at the centre and buses run from Manchester stations to Larch Grove which is a short walk away (8 minutes).

Laudato Si’ Movement: To inspire and mobilise the Catholic community to care for our common home and achieve climate and ecological justice, in collaboration with all people of good will.

Questions to reflect on before the day:

● What have been your biggest positives since the last time we met together?

● What are some of the challenges you face? What are some of the barriers?

● What are some of the creative ways / events / resources you have been part of?

● Where do you find the beauty of Creator God in urban environments?

● Prepare a five-minute talk on good practice you would like to share (optional but please let us know in advance. Please note there are no IT facilities on site.)
