The Golden Lounge is bringing you an Asian comedy night with some of the best comedians on the circuit followed by an after party with DJ sensation DJ Kye Mistry! Let's meet the comedians:

Your host for the evening is Hitz Unadkat. Hitz is a Leicester local who recently moved to Milton Keynes and classes that as an upgrade. His surname is too hard to pronounce so he has to go by “hitz.comedy” on all social media platforms. Hitz has performed up and down the country and is making a name for himself on the comedy circuit. His stories on the ups and downs of being a British Indian will have you in stitches.

Finalist at the Nodding Dog New Online Comedian of the Year 2020, finalist at the Enfield Comedy Club Gong Show 2020, regional finalist at the BBC New Comedy Awards 2021, winner of the Alestone Comedy Competition 2021, runner-up at the Hats Funny ‘Comedy Competition’ 2024, finalist at the Funhouse Comedy ‘Gong Show’ 2024 and semi-finalist: The Stand-Up Club ‘Get-Up, Stand-Up Comedy Competition’ 2025.

“He’s bloody brilliant” (Funny Firm Comedy).

“A truly talented act” (Ian Whitcombe Comedy).

“I’d recommend any promoter to book him!” (Hats Funny Comedy).

“Gave us a right good laugh!” (Laffalot Promotions).

Your opener is Adam Anwar from Bolton. Labelled "a rebel with a cause and definitely one to watch" by the British Comedy Guide in 2024 after a soldout run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Adam Anwar is a true original. Bolton born to a Pakistani Father and Polish Mother, Adam see's the World from a unique angle and this comes across in his standup.

Having burst onto the scene in 2018 winning a competition in his first ever gig, Adam has gone on to win Bolton Star 2023, was selected as Leicester Comedy Festival Circuit Breaker 2022 and has gone on to be booked by some of the UK's biggest promoters.

Next up is Ishi Khan. Ishi is a Multi-award nominated Internationally acclaimed British Comedian. Zambian-born with Indian ancestry: She emerged into the world crying to the sound of everyone else’s laughter.

A sentient being born to tickle, play and sing to the moon, you’ll find her skipping along on the comedic yellow brick road, dancing through rain, sun, and fairy dust. A lover of rainbows, shooting stars, this unicorn rider aims to do a cartwheel and ride a bike, not simultaneously. She speaks English, Punjabi, and fluent cat.

As seen on: BBC One | ITV | BBC Radio 4 -Frontrow| BBC Asian Network

“A joyous bundle of energy from start to finish (Simon Brodkin).

“Very funny! Very silly indeed!” (Female Arts) .“An inspiration… a world-class writer and performer” (Blizzard Comedy).

Then we have Zayne Fulat. Zayne is an easygoing lateral thinker who specialises in the weird and wonderful. He will take you on a winding journey laced with societal observations and storytelling, with a variety of hard-hitting comedic punches embedded along the way!

"Zayne has a disarming charm and a real knack for well crafted jokes that audiences love" (Anthony Williams, RockCentral Comedy Club).

"He has an incisive mind and his reveals were always unexpected. His smart and original writing is something that will always be enjoyable to see" (Notts Comedy Review).

"I can’t see a reason why Zayne isn’t going to progress rapidly over the next couple of years" (Jason Neale, Proper Funny Comedy).

Stepping up next is Tharun Chelley. Tharun has been performing since 2018 and is an observational comedian who talks about himself as a British Asian and the issues he faces in the Midlands (well, more like the issues he causes others). He brings a lot of high energy where he discusses family life, sneezing and issues with his wife.

“His powerful voice and grounded delivery was quite striking. This was a set that generated a lot of laughs and I think everyone would have liked to have seen more" (Nottingham Comedy Review).

“An easy-going routine of cleverly constructed jokes delivered with dry wit entertained the late-night crowd.” (Richard Gill, A Rich comic life).

Your headliner on the night is the incredible Noreen Khan! Noreen needs no introduction as she is an award winning radio/TV presenter and stand up comedian. She presented her own radio show on BBC Asian Network for 15 years and in 2022 presented the hugely popular BBC 2 TV series, Back in Time for Birmingham. Noreen has also appeared on some of the most well-known TV shows including: Countdown, Sport Relief, Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Antiques Road Show and Pointless Celebrities.
