Therapeutic Laughter Well-being Workshop and Meditation followed by an optional Social in London

Reconnect to Laughter and Joy at our Stress-busting, mood boosting laughter yoga well-being workshop and meditation with Lady Ha Ha #ladyhaha

A journey to help you reconnect to laughter and joy. This includes oodles of Laughter, Games, Social Connection, Laughter Meditation and more + optional social after the workshop :-) Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha

Feeling stressed? Has life just become too serious ? Lost the ability to laugh ? Perhaps you just love laughing and can't get enough of it :-) Suffering from anxiety ? Lacking Confidence ? This is for YOU!!! Laughter Yoga can seriously help you. This is a powerful yet fun hour and a half and also a great opportunity to meet new friends at our optional after laughs social.

You will feel fantastic, not just during the workshops but most likely for the entire weekend!

Join us to bust the stress, lift your energy and your mood and feel awesome. This is a real natural high! and a hugely powerful yet fun workshop. Come with an open mind, leave feeling great and with an open heart :-)


Odette aka Lady HaHa works with various holistic wellbeing tools to help people to feel less stressed and healthier. This includes theapeutic laughter techniques including laughter yoga, midfulness and meditation and sound therapy. She will take you on a journey allowing you to release and open up to laughter and play. If you are shy or feeling apprehensive, you will most likely feel more open, more connected and more confident by the end of the workshop.

We are really keen on the social element of laughter yoga and many people attend on their own. We often have an optional social cuppa at a local cafe after the session.

We will start the workshop with some playful activities to help us to open up and get to know one another. Following on from that we will have an opportunity to share and get to know one another with some ice breakers. Below is an approximate outline of the morning workshop.

11am arrivals and registration

Once registered you will be invited to join in with some bonding and icebreaker activities.

11.05-11.15 Sharing space and getting to know one another

Laughter exercises, freefall laughter meditation and relaxation meditation.

What to bring

Wear something you are comfortable to move in and we will probably lie on the floor for a short ending mediation at some point! so if you like bring a mat for comfort. Bring water too, Laughter is thirsty work! We may lie down on the floor, you may wish to bring a mat/cushion for extra comfort.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Laughter Yoga is not a substitute for medical consultation for physical, mental and psychological illnesses, but is a powerful natural complementary form of healing. It is like any other aerobic exercise and may not be suitable for everyone as it involves some physical strain and a rise in intra-abdominal pressure.

It is contraindicated for people suffering from: Any kind of hernia, Heart disease with angina pain, Persistent cough with breathlessness, Uncontrolled high blood pressure, Incontinence of urine, Epilepsy, Advanced (bleeding) piles and haemorrhoids or any bleeding tendencies in any part of the body, Severe backache, Any acute symptoms of cough, cold and fever. People who have undergone major surgery should wait at least three months before doing Laughter Yoga.

If in doubt first consult a medical professional for guidance. Anyone undergoing physician-prescribed therapy that experiences improvements through laughter should seek the advice of their doctor before reducing dosage or stopping treatment.

Relative contraindications

Those suffering from heart disease and high blood pressure but are stable on medication and can take a brisk walk for 30 minutes without any symptoms can do Laughter Yoga with advice from medical specialists.

People who have undergone bypass surgery can also do Laughter Yoga after their stress test is normal. Pregnancy is also a relative contraindication. Women with previous history of miscarriages and also those who are in advanced stage of pregnancy should take medical advice from specialists before doing laughter exercises. People suffering from minor and major psychiatric disorders can participate in a laughter session except those who are not in touch with reality e.g. schizophrenia, Hyper mania (manic part of bipolar depression)



Some people may have pre- existing medical conditions and one should take reasonable precaution before doing laughter exercises or indeed any form of exercise.
