Launch Academy is ORE Catapult’s flagship technology accelerator programme for the offshore wind industry, specifically designed to enhance the UK’s offshore wind supply chain, enable greater UK content and support cost reduction through innovation. We are delighted to announce our very first Scotland-specific regional programme.

The programme provides the complete ecosystem required to support the development of ambitious companies commercialising new products and services into the offshore wind sector. ORE Catapult brings technology development and business support under one roof, allowing successful companies to access its own in-house technical capabilities alongside a range of business growth expertise and support from external delivery partners.

Launch Academy: Scotland is supported by various industrial and business support specialists, including three sponsoring offshore wind developers. The bespoke seven-month programme of activity will see a cohort of companies being given access to a unique package of support from Launch Academy: Scotland’s expert delivery partners, which includes legal, marketing, accountancy, IP, equality, diversity & inclusion and investor readiness support. Additionally, ORE Catapult will directly provide tailored and bespoke technology development and business case analysis support to each of the companies chosen to participate in the programme.

Launch Academy: Scotland will welcome applications from innovative companies who wish to join its first regional programme of activity specific to Scotland on the 19th of July. Applicants will have the opportunity to respond to various specific technology challenges developed in collaboration with our industry sponsors or apply to an Open Call category.
