About this event

  • 7 hours

We are pleased to invite you to the launch event of the new Doctoral School at the University of the Arts London, an exciting endeavour that promises to reshape the landscape of arts doctoral training here in the heart of London.

‘Shaping Futures’ and our new Doctoral School seek to be catalysts, supporting the community arts, design and communication scholars - exploring how doctoral researchers can use their creativity to meet the needs of rapidly evolving creative, cultural, and digital economies.

The event asks:

· How can the future doctorate respond to our changing world?

· How might doctorates the arts, design and communication be

re-envisioned?

· How can arts and design doctorates become more diverse and inclusive?

· What is the value of an arts doctorate?

· What does it mean to place creativity and social purpose at the heart of the doctorate?

We cordially invite you to join these debates and the research student exhibition at our new location in High Holborn, London, to celebrate the opening of UAL’s new Doctoral School. Together, let's embark on this journey of knowledge, innovation, and collaboration.

We look forward to your presence and the shared excitement of inaugurating this new chapter doctoral research.
