The University of Bristol, together with HEPI and Advance HE, invites you to the launch of the report 'The Benefits of Hindsight: Reconsidering Higher Education Choices' on Wednesday 2 April 2025, 3-5pm at Woburn House Conference Centre in London.

The event will be of particular interest to those working in higher education, policy makers, and those advising students in schools and colleges.

'The Benefits of Hindsight' report explores the views of current and former students in the UK about their university choices, and whether with hindsight they think they should have made different decisions about what and where to study. Based on survey findings, focus groups and interviews, the report explores what choices undergraduates and graduates think they should have made, why they think this, what the consequences are for them, and whether or not they would have wanted to transfer course or institution.

The report concludes by making recommendations for those providing advice and guidance to students thinking of going to university, as well as to universities and government on ensuring greater flexibility once the students are at university.
