Launch Event - Online

Join us for the launch of the Oxfordshire Recovery Network

This is a new network for everyone concerned with promoting mental wellbeing in our diverse communities. This requires contributions from an inclusive array of individuals, organisations and groups. The launch event will be suitable for:

• The wide range of formal and informal community groups that may be providing support to people recovering from mental distress.
• People working in voluntary and statutory mental health services who want to develop stronger links with local community groups.
• Anyone managing their own recovery, or helping other people (friends, family members, or neighbours).

At the launch event, we will be:

• Talking briefly about the history of the network, and how it emerged from discussions about recovery drawing on different types of expertise (lived experience, academic knowledge and professional practice).
• Describing our plans for the network, and asking for your views about how it could help local people.
• Introducing a leaflet which we have developed that briefly explains the principles of recovery and provides contact details of organisations and groups that might be helpful.

The meeting aims to be informal and inclusive. An agenda and rough timings will follow.
