Event description
The launch of Kellogg College’s Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation

About this Event

We are pleased to invite you to the launch of Kellogg College’s Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation: a global, interdisciplinary centre addressing one of the world’s major challenges - to improve the health and well-being of urban populations around the world.

The College has enjoyed a close partnership with the Prince’s Foundation through the Kellogg Urban Knowledge Exchange seminar series, aimed at bringing together students, academics, practitioners and the public to debate best practice in urban development.

In 2017 the Foundation’s president, HRH The Prince of Wales, visited Kellogg to see work from Oxford University’s Sustainable Urban Development and Evidence-Based Healthcare programmes – a visit that crystalised our joint thinking and has led to the creation of this new Centre.

Listen to His Excellency Muyeba S. Chikonde, High Commissioner for Zambia, Simon Sadinsky from the Prince’s Foundation, and Professor Carl Heneghan, co-director of the Kellogg Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation, talk about how poor urban development impacts on health and wellbeing.

The Prince's Foundation is about supporting people to make the most of their community, and was formed to realise HRH The Prince of Wales’s vision of creating harmonious communities.
