Launch of Inspiring Futures Poetry Anthology
Wed 22 March 2017, 17:30 – 19:00 GMT
To officially celebrate the publication of ‘Inspiring Futures’; a poetry anthology which celebrates 50 years at Leeds Trinity University, we are hosting a wine reception and celebratory event – and you’re invited!
Join us on Wednesday 22 March, from 5.30pm in the Atrium at Leeds Trinity, to officially celebrate the launch of the collection, and to conclude the annual Leeds Trinity Writers’ Festival.
Student, staff and alumni authors and poets who have published poetry and prose during the last 12 months – our 50th Anniversary year – will showcase their work, and we’ll launch our Inspiring Futures anthology.
Wednesday 22 March
5.30 – 7.00pm
Atrium at Leeds Trinity University
Following wine and canapes, and an introduction from Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret A House, authors including Amina Alyal, Hannah Stone and Ian Harker will talk about their work and contributions to the anthology.
Paul Hardwick, Professor of English at Leeds Trinity and editor of Inspiring Futures, will officially launch the anthology with readings from contributors. There will then be a chance to network and buy copies of the work celebrated throughout the evening.
Who can attend?
If you have a love of poetry or prose and want to attend a celebratory event, please come along! We welcome anyone associated with our authors and Leeds Trinity University.
