Description
Longitude Explorer Prize is a challenge for young people aged 11-16 to come up with innovative ideas for products, technologies and systems that are of benefit to their communities using information from satellites. Schools and youth groups have the opportunity to win £25,000 and attend national events and an award ceremony.
Nesta is proud to be launching the programme in association with Royal Museums Greenwich and to be working alongside the UK Space Agency, Raspberry Pi, Satellite Applications Catapult, STEMNET, UK Space Academy, British Science Association, Royal Observatory Greenwich and Ignite Futures to provide the entrepreneurs, scientists and technologists of the future a new opportunity to engage in STEM education by exploring how space technologies can impact their everyday lives.
