Event description

Description

Lost in Music is a new project to be launched by Westminster Law School and we would would be delighted if you would be able to join us at its launch. The idea behind Lost in Music is to offer a free open access resource that helps artists, students, professionals and interested parties navigate their way through the maze of music business law. The first stage of this, 'Lost in Music - navigating the maze of copyright infringement', generously funded by the Quintin Hogg Trust is launched on October 3rd. It offers a free-to-the-public information service for those with an interest in music copyright law, highlighting the latest cases as well as dissecting past examples and legal precedents in a down-to-earth, no-nonsense format. A wide range of stakeholders from legal professionals to music industry figures to students will benefit from this free resource and be able to take part in polls, votes and discussions within the site.

The launch evening will include an engaging interactive presentation of the site with music examples and live performance illustrations from Simon Anderson as well as a reception with drinks and nibbles.

For more information about the project see here.

We hope to see you there!
