About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Background:
The African Union (AU) has long championed the principle of “African Solutions to African Problems.” However, limited public access to AU policy processes and institutions continues to hinder inclusive, responsive, and informed governance across the continent. The Data for Governance Alliance is proud to launch a transformative, free Massive Online

Open Course (MOOC) designed to fill this gap.

Titled “African Solutions to African Problems,” this MOOC equips African policy actors, including civil society organisations, parliamentarians, government officials, diplomats, researchers, journalists, and educators, with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to effectively engage in and influence African Union policy-making processes. It offers a unique opportunity to democratise access to AU policy knowledge and build continental capacity for meaningful participation.

Objective of the Webinar:
To officially launch the MOOC and introduce stakeholders to its content, objectives, and intended impact on African policy engagement and governance.

Expected Outcomes:

· Increased awareness and visibility of the MOOC

· Stakeholder commitment to share, enroll in, and use the course

· Stronger networks for collaboration on AU policy-related work
