Join us to celebrate the launch of the South Gloucestershire Community Energy Network!
Come and share a delicious feast from Coexist Community Kitchen, learn about our plans as a new network, meet other like-minded people, and meet our founding member groups. Finally, join us for celebratory cake!
Community Energy and climate and nature action groups have been doing amazing work in South Gloucestershire for several years. The South Gloucestershire Community Energy Network, or SGCEN, is launching to help bring together these brilliant groups, help people start new groups in neighbourhoods, parishes and villages where they don't exist yet, and support with training and additional resources.
Join us for an evening of feasting, inspiration and learning on Thursday 11th September in central Yate at the Pop Inn Cafe.
The agenda includes:
- 6pm: Doors open
- 6.30pm: Introductory talks from SGCEN staff and directors, founding member groups, Bristol Energy Network (BEN) and Bristol Energy Co-operative (BEC), and possibly local political leaders/council reps.
- 7pm: Food is served.
- 7.30pm: Workshop/skill share session.
- 8.30pm: Cake
- 9pm: Finish
