Launch of the Gloucester/Cheltenham Rugby Business Network
Tuesday, 2 July 2013 from 19:00 to 21:00 (BST)
|The Rugby Business Network is a "not for profit" organisation who's aim is to support the networking of people in business, who also have a passion for rugby and also assist rugby players to meet and network with business people who may be able to support their career beyond their athletic career. * Please note that The Cheltenham & Gloucester RBN is not connected with Gloucester RFC in any way.|
Join us for this inaugural networking event at the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Dealership premises between Gloucester & Cheltenham.
Numbers are limited to 80 so book early to avoid disappointment.
If you haven't attended a Rugby Business Network event elsewhere in the UK (or world for that matter) then here's what you can expect here in Gloucestershire:
- 2 Hours of informal networking with Business Owners and Senior Business People from across the region who share a passion for Rugby and are there to network and have some fun
- Sytner (Mercedes-Benz) are not only kindly providing the venue (which has a large networking area and recently was the venue for a fashion event) but are also providing drinks and nibbles too (Thanks to Steve Lyons, Hendrix and the team at Sytner for being great supporters of the RBN in Gloucester/Cheltenham).
- A 20 min Question & Answer session with 3 keynote speakers from the world of professional rugby (You can put your questions to them about The Lions Tour, England in Argentina, the prospects for the 13/14 season - whatever you like).
Who's on thre Speaker Panel for the Q & A So far?
Typically at these events we'll aim to have a current local Player, an ex-player who has retired from his Athletic Career, but transistioned into his business career (and so can provide some insights from both a Rugby and Business background) and perhaps a 3rd speaker either from the Rugby Business Network, RPA, RFU etc.
In Josh Frape we've covered two of those bases! As a former Gloucester Player and now Player Development Manager at the Rugby Players Association, Josh can offer some unique insights into how he managed his transition.
Graham is an experienced sports writer covering a wide range of sports for the national press (Including the Telegraph Media Group). A published author Graham also works as Communications and PR consultant with Athlete Career Transition.
Graham is also a qualified football coach and work as a Social Media copywriter for WSI-emarketing.
Olly's England international career was put on hold last year after a serious knee injury sustained against Worcester Warriors in January of 2012.
And although the full-back, who was speaking at the launch of this summer’s J.P Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s series, admits there is no chance of him returning this season, Morgan insists he has not lain idle in his time away from the game.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is limited parking on the site but street parking is close by.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
If you cannot make it then please either notify us so we can release your ticket to someone on the waiting list (there are only 60 tickets available). Or iof you are sending someone in your place, again let us know as we may well have pre-printed name badges prepared for the event, to help networking.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes login and update them any time up until 24 hours before the event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes please as we'll scan it in to confirm attendance. Those that regularly attend such events will have priority invitations sent to them in advance of being opened up, to reward those that book and attend. ("No shows" make it difficult for the sponsors, who are after all providing the venue, and often catering as well, to ensure that these RBN events can be offered to you FREE of charge).
