Event description

Description

You are invited to the launch of the new International Economic Democracy Index. This innovative measure will for the first time allow us to measure and compare democratic participation and economic rights across 32 OECD countries.

The event will feature results from statistical analysis that explores the relationship between economic democracy and key public policy objectives such as tackling poverty and inequality, economic productivity and sustainability, and addressing climate change. There will be a discussion of the kinds of alternative governance arrangements and policies that might be built in the UK.

The project is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and led by a team of researchers at the University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business School with partners from Nottingham Trent University, Oxfam and the New Economics Foundation.

Please join us for an informative debate and discussion about a critical area of public policy.
