Blackwell's Bookshop is delighted to host the launch of the new children’s picture book Oskar’s Amazing Adventure with Theatre Fideri Fidera

Walk the red carpet to meet the stars of the play Oskar the playful puppy and his newfound friend Marmot, and also author Colin Granger and illustrator Lisa Smith.

Guests are invited to dress as their favourite animal characters and complimentary sweets will be served.

This is a free event for children under 8 years old and their families.

About the Author & Illustrator

Colin Granger is co founder of the independent arts and live entertainment organization Komedia, which has venues in Brighton and Bath. After over 20 years running Komedia and presenting the work of hundreds of well know theatre companies, comedians and musicians he decided to concentrate on his first love of creating theatre by starting Theatre Fideri Fidera.

Colin is also an author and teacher trainer and has written many books for children and teenagers for publishers Heinemann and Macmillan, including the international best seller New Generation.. In 2014 he wrote his first children’s play for young children, Pitschi, the Kitten with Dreams and in 2016, the play, and children’s picture book Oskar’s Amazing Adventure.

Lisa Smith works as an illustrator and artist in Berlin. She has worked for many UK publishers, including Macmillan, where she illustrated many of Colin Granger’s books. Her two best-known series for children are The Cheeky Monkey, and Lighthouse Mouse.


The play Oskar’s Amazing Adventure is showing at Gilded Balloon, 13 Bristo Square, Edinburgh, EH8 9AJ, Wednesday 2nd – Sunday 27th August 2017 (not 9th, 16th, 23rd), 11.50AM. More info here
