About this event
Supporters of social enterprise from across the voluntary, public and private sectors are invited to the launch of an £8.25million investment and support programme in Greater Manchester.
The Proper Good programme will provide social investment, training and no-nonsense advice and support for individuals wanting to start or grow social businesses based or working on the ground in Bolton, Oldham, Stockport and Wigan.
Attendees will hear from Mayor Andy Burnham, Rose Marley (Chair of the Greater Manchester Social Enterprise Action Group) and Cllr Elise Wilson (Leader of Stockport Council and portfolio lead for Economy & Business at GMCA), in addition to presentations from the Proper Good delivery leads who will share more information about the programme in the four delivery areas - Bolton, Oldham, Stockport and Wigan.
The Proper Good Programme is being jointly funded by Big Society Capital and Access – The Foundation for Social Investment. It is one of six programmes from across England that aim to support the growth of local social economies to help reduce poverty and inequality.
Zoom details will be sent ahead of the event to all those who register.
We look forward to seeing you there!
