An evening reception with H.E. Mr Bulgaa Altangerel, the Mongolian Ambassador to the UK, to launch the Mongolian Business and Trade Council in the United Kingdom.
Mongolia's economy is on the rise, with the Wold Bank reporting a massive growth rate of 16.7 percent year on year in the first quarter. Colloquially Mongolia is known as a ‘Wolf Economy’ due to the rising interests of foreign investors into the previously untapped mineral reserves, and mining has overtaken agriculture as the primary source of GDP and exports in the country. As Mongolia's economy continues to grow, foreign investment in the country has been on the rise, and the Mongolian government has turned towards the West to bolster that growth.
The Mongolian Business and Trade Council in the United Kingdom aims to help Mongolian and British companies develop their business in either country by developing useful information channels, representing members’ interests and helping source business partners as required.
MBTC’s goal is to promote Mongolia as an emerging economy with great investment potential and to help British businesses develop do business or invest in Mongolia through assistance with market research and organising business trips and meetings, as well as helping companies obtain the administrative and representation services they require in Mongolia.
