Event description
With many podcasts relying on remote interviews, there has never been a better time to develop a new skill and reach new audiences.

About this Event

With many of the best podcasts relying on remote interviews, and so many of us working from home, there has never been a better time to develop a new skill and reach new audiences.

And, it has never been easier to create a podcast using just your smartphone!

This one-day workshop will take you, step by step, through the essentials of creating a podcast, from planning and recording to editing and sharing, using only a mobile app.

You can’t escape a little technology in the process, but we’ll keep it to a minimum so you can focus on creating your first podcast during an interactive, enjoyable day of learning.

A PDF toolkit accompanies the workshop, including links to resources and equipment.

Designed for

Communication professionals with a marketing, PR or journalism background, or those actively engaged with communications for their organisation. Prior experience of audio recording and editing is not required.

What will I learn?

The workshop is divided into three main sections: planning, producing and promoting. You will learn how to plan, style and structure your podcast, as well as how to record and upload to a host for sharing. Finally, how to add a podcast to a website and promote it.
