We would like to invite you to the first of our free Brexit-themed seminars where leading authorities from the Scottish legal profession and the academic community will analyse the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
The first of these free seminars will take place on Thursday 3 November, from 5.30pm for 6- 9pm at the Society’s Office at Atria One, 144 Morrison Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EX. Light refreshments will be served.
Combining keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, the first of these seminars will cover broad constitutional issues including: constitutional reform, Scotland’s place in Brexit, Article 50, implications of ‘hard’ or ‘soft’ Brexit, independence and the Scotland Act, and of course there will be an opportunity for a Q&A with our three expert speakers.
The panel of speakers will be comprised of Christine O’Neill, Chair at Brodies LLP; Professor Stephen Tierney who is a Professor of Constitutional Theory and Director of the Edinburgh Centre for Constitutional Law; and Dr Andrew Tickell who is a Lecturer of Law at Glasgow Caledonian University.
This seminar counts as 2.5 hours verifiable CPD.
