In what has become an annual link-up between the Institute of Directors and Leeds Beckett University, Natalie will be talking about developing our business people in terms of both leadership and entrepreneurship.
Leeds-born with a passion for enterprise from the age of eight, Natalie ran her first business at the age of 17. She has a wealth of experience in sectors including hospitality, health and wellbeing and real estate. She has been integral to the success of strategic teams delivering healthy profits whilst achieving the highest industry awards with national and international hospitality groups at senior management and board director level.
Natalie spent more than a decade working across the UK, Europe and Africa on diverse projects for private owners and investors, including the development of vineyards, leading spa and golf resorts, luxury villas, high quality bakeries and cafes, renowned cookery schools, Michelin starred restaurants and the turnaround of exclusive historic hotels and estates.
She has also served as a board director at the renowned, Grade II Thackray Medical Museum where she was personally involved in the redevelopment of the events centre, shop and café.
Natalie also has her own property portfolio. She is chairman of Groundwork North Yorkshire and director and shareholder of an exclusive estate in North Yorkshire where she also sits on the liaison team.
An ambassador for Leeds Business School, a faculty of Leeds Beckett University, Natalie embraces lifelong learning for all. She is a practicing young director and is working towards Chartered Director status with the Institute of Directors, where, after many years of association, she is now Regional Director for Yorkshire and the North East.
As part of her ongoing commitment to the UK’s skills agenda, youth and tomorrow’s directors, Natalie recently became an ambassador for the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) for Yorkshire and the Humber. She is a judge for the NAS regional awards and for Insider magazine’s Made in Yorkshire Awards.
