The old Great Commission in a ‘new normal’ world
About this event
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected almost every area of life. Local church fellowship and worship have certainly been reshaped. In the legal realm, remote work patterns, digitization of the courtroom, innovative ways to engage with clients, and the need to include IT competence on our C.V. are likely to remain in the years ahead.
The world has changed. Yet Christ’s commission to “go and make disciples of all nations” has not. How should we make sense of evangelism in a rapidly changing world? As people return to in-person activities after a long time of isolation, how can Christian lawyers communicate the gospel in meaningful ways? Do you feel equipped to evangelize others in the legal profession during this unique and pivotal time?
At the LCF Student and Young Lawyers’ Conference, from Friday evening 18th February to Sunday lunchtime 20th February 2022, we will consider “The old Great Commission in a ‘new normal’ world”.
The Conference will take place at Whitemoor Lakes in Staffordshire. Join us for a weekend of learning and fellowship as we reflect on how our God-given mandate to proclaim the gospel & make disciples can be exercised in the post-pandemic legal world. To give you a taste of what’s coming up, here are some of the topics we will cover:
- Witnessing to Jesus: Knowing our great commission and enjoying our legal calling;
- Responding to the “new normal” legal world: Overcoming obstacles and seizing opportunities;
- Making Disciples in law: Building relationships and mentoring lawyers;
- Doing justice internationally: Serving without boundaries and making Jesus known through law;
- Sharing the gospel with lawyers: From isolation to intentionality.
Ed Veale will be our main speaker. If you’re a law student, in legal training, or qualified recently, we’d love you to join us for a great weekend!
