L&D Connect Unconference - London
Tue 23 May 2017, 09:00 – 17:00 BST
Welcome to the L&D Connect London Unconference.
About L&D Connect
L&D Connect is a virtual and real-life space for L&D and OD practitioners and others in L&D/ organisational development to discuss the issues that matter most to them and their organisations.
The aims are simple - to create a space to
- Experiment with ideas & techniques with other practitioners - get feedback and think differently about what you produce
- Talk about relevant L&D/ OD issues
- Exchange ideas and support fellow L&D professionals
- Encourage networking & sharing about practise within the learning & development community
About the Unconference
An Unconference means no speakers, no fixed agenda, no selling to or promotional activity.
We are setting aside a space to learn, experiement, network and reflect.
The idea is that as participants on the day, we all co-create the agenda, sharing an equal space to contribute, engage and participate as we see and feel best. We are quite likely to encourage a range of experimenting with respect to facilitation, discussion and reflection as well as about L&D practise and development of skills.
At the last unconference in Manchester, we covered topics like:
- How to use sketchnoting for learning
- Exploring the use of reflective practise as a practitioner
- How to use improvisation techniques
- Using different social tools for learning for digital curation and sharing
- Practicalities of using video in L&D
- E-learning design
That gives you an idea of the breadth of the topics covered. The strength of an unconference is the willingness to co-create and the inclusive design of what is created.
There will be breakfast and lunch provided on the day, with teas and coffees available throughout the day. And if you have any needs catered for, just let us know. (Of course, there will be WiFi!)
And not forgetting our Twitter hashtags . . .
We are also using two hashtags on Twitter - #ldconnect for the group and #ldcu17 for the unconference so please do use them.
Want to know more?
L&D connect runs on a not-for profit basis and the unconference and informal networking events attract a wide variety of practitioners. To get a sense of what it means to attend an unconference, and what other people think coming in to them, have a read of:
