Description

Le Pub Scientifique. Pain, Possibilities & Potential - Exploring Plasticity (1)

Plasticity has been offered as a potential mechanism for why pain persists but it's also proposed as a neurobiological mechanism for learning and becoming expert at something.

Can you become expert at being in pain?

The next three Le Pub Scientifique evenings are devoted to exploring 'Pain, Possibilities and Potential' from three different perspectives.

1. Pain science (Tim Beames)

2. Feldenkrais Method (Ryan Jansen)

3. Mindfulness (Alexander Irving)

Each session can be taken as standalone or part of the series.

This first Le Pub will look at what is meant by plasticity, what the person in pain understands about it and how we can utilise it to offer a creative therapeutic approach to people in pain.

Come and meet other interested people and enjoy a lively night with drink in hand!
