About this Event
Leader learning : Remote Leadership, Teams & Role Modelling
Led by: Ruth Gladwell, HR Business Partner, Navigator
With remote working now the norm, how has your leadership style adapted?
Have staff accessed greater autonomy? Does your team know what the boundaries are – have those conversations been had – or was everyone too busy working through a crisis?
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the volume of video calls in your diary, not getting time to follow up and finding yourself delegating at the last minute? Are you living up to what you think are the expectations of a leader?
When everything and everyone is so busy, we're constantly moving from one video meeting to the next, and we don't have the office environment to easily check in with our teams, morale, productivity & isolation can spiral quickly.
It's time to take a step back and consider how you want to role model leadership to your team.
About this event:
With the WFH directive likely to consider for some time, and a blended approach to office working likely for many, it's more important than ever that we are supporting and building up our staff teams.
This event will consider techniques and practical tools to keep remote communications ‘up’ so they help build trust, and online isolation ‘down’ so that tensions don’t build in the background. Let’s discuss how you set and deliver on expectations as a leader, look at new and explicit expectations with feedback routes and hear and share case studies of who’s done what and how.
Let's start our 2021 leadership right...
This event is open to all voluntary sector leaders and senior staff - Members and Non-Members of ACOSVO - so please circulate to your local networks!
