Are you an engineer or studying engineering as an apprentice or undergraduate and are looking to inspire the next generation with engineering? We need your help!
Could you spend half a day in a local school to inspire pupils to answer the question… If you were an engineer in GREATER MANCHESTER what would you do?
Pupils will be required to research you and/or your area of expertise and ask questions/interview you. They will then use that insight to invent a solution to a problem they have perceived and write a persuasive "Pitch Letter", to convince engineers to choose their creation to be built.
The award is a fantastic opportunity to engage pupils with real engineers, like you, who will convey the importance of STEM in their daily working lives. Encouraging pupils to let their imaginations run free and discover that engineering is a creative way to solve problems!
Pupils entries will form part of a public exhibition in the summer of 2017.
