James has spent 14 years with Microsoft, 3 with Oracle and 5 years with Silicon Valley-based start-ups, based in Shanghai, Singapore and London. Throughout that time he has been able to make most of the mistakes possible and learned through practical experience some of the secrets of successfully building a diverse workforce and creating an inclusive environment.

Alice has been involved in shaping people functions across the recruitment, retail, broadcast media and hospitality sectors for over 18 years. Focussing on building her reputation through the design, delivery and ROI of authentic and practical people initiatives that are inclusive and make lasting changes to individuals and business performance.

Last year Alice won Women in Business’ 2019 Role Model of the Year award and is passionate about finding, developing and growing the best talent across the tech and life sciences industries.

Anna Magnusson, Team Integration, Beyond M&A

Anna Magnusson works with Team Integration for Beyond M&A, a people and technology consultancy specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Her view on inclusion is around the opportunities and strengths that can be found inside companies, based on diversity of thought, that is not being utilised or accepted because of a lack of awareness. By helping companies map out the conative strengths in their technology teams, Anna aims to raise awareness of the benefit of working with people who have different ways to instinctively think and work. She urges technology leaders to look beyond job roles and use a data driven approach to architect the team before the technology.

Clare Harty, Global Diversity and Inclusion Consultant

Clare is a Global Diversity and Inclusion professional who has worked in this field for over 20 years. She has a proven track record in developing and leading the execution of Diversity and Inclusion strategy and policy across global blue chip organisations all over the world.

Clare’s diversity and inclusion expertise has enabled her to work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and deliver innovative interventions that focus on driving inclusion through the companies where she has worked.

Mitch Goldman, Product Owner at Synchronoss

With 25 years of experience in software development as a product owner, project manager, and test manager, from multi-national corporations to small startups, he has experienced a number of different approaches and attitudes to inclusion.

Susan Maddison, Senior Manager, Discover Financial Services and Co-Founder, Women in Tech Revolution

At the end of 1999 Susan moved from Saudi Arabia to the UK and dived into the ever changing fast-paced IT industry, specifically the world of software development. Her career started at the dawn of the Internet so has witnessed how the Internet has weaved it's way into our lives & businesses. Susan is most proud of breaking the mould of what it is to be a geek & female leader and is on a mission to create leaders who have the belief, mindset, technical skills, leadership strategies & vision to thrive in this Digital Age.

Last year Susan co-founded the Women in Tech Revolution community which collides women from every generation & different industries to inspire every tech-curious woman to join the Industry 4.0 Revolution.)
