Event description

Description

For the final module of the Young Leaders Development Programme, we will be exploring the leadership skills needed to inspire change in the political sphere. This leadership module will explore how to engage with political decision making at a local and national level and establish power and authority in the political context. You'll also hear from the 2050 Leaders Network on what to expect post-YLDP and how we will continue to support you leading on climate action in Scotland.

We'll be hosting a mix of interactive workshops and speakers and we’re delighted to be joined by Ross Greer MSP for West of Scotland, John Loughton of Dare2Lead, Simon Pepper (OBE) Former Director of WWF Scotland, Jess Pepper of the Climate Reality Project, and representatives from Scottish Youth Parliament, among others!

As usual, a tasty vegetarian lunch will be provided, but please let us know about any dietary requirements you may have. Registration will open from 10.30am, session will begin at 11.00am.

Bring your Action Plan from the first modules if you still have it. Don't worry if you don't anymore, we'll be creating an updated plan, but it will be interesting for you to compare your aims back at the start of the programme to your aspirations now!
