As a business owner or HR/OD professional, you are invited to attend a panel discussion and networking session. We will focus on how we can address the skill gaps going forward, particularly the need to upskill managers and leaders in both technical and soft skills in order to remain competitive. The panel will look at the key skills required by leaders and managers in shaping the workforce of the future and how HR can best support the business to bridge the gap. With the military community due to increase by 4,000 in the area over the next 5 years we will also look at how their wide pool of skills can be harnessed.

Giles Woodhouse, Centre Manager at Help for Heroes Recovery Centre Tedworth
As general manager and service developer, Giles is responsible for the recovery pathway experience for the wounded, injured and sick community who use the H4H Tedworth House Personnel Recovery Centre. Prior to this he was UK Armed Forces Battalion Commander managing the professional effectiveness of a deployable security organsiation of over 700 personnel.
Kate Cooper, Head of Research at the ILM
Whilst with the ILM Kate has led the delivery of all aspects of ILM assessments, from initial design and development stages to the maintenance of standards between assessment approaches. She also established the Assessment Hub providing customised assessment solutions for ILM qualifications.
Captain Les Lester, British Army- Bulford
Les is the Regimental Administrative Officer responsible for a small team of military and civilian staff, delivering HR support to a Military Intelligence Battalion of approximately 315 personnel. Dealing with all personal administration matters including pay and allowances, and the provision of staff support to the Battalion Chain of Command.
