Description
Designed to support new businesses to understand and maximise performance through effective leadership.
By the end of this workshop, participants will understand:
- The difference between leading and managing people
- The different roles of leaders and managers within organisations
- Some of the most widely used and accepted models of leadership and how these relate to you and your business
- The factors affecting your organisation and what this means in terms of your preferred leadership style and behaviour
- The difference between different leadership styles and behaviours and the impact that each has on people and the performance of a business
- The benefits of using assessment tools and processes to identify current capabilities including skills, knowledge and behaviours
- How to assess you, your leaders and your managers
- How you and your leaders and managers can adapt and change leadership style and behaviour to suit circumstances and business needs
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for support from the growth programme you must be:
• Small – your new business must be an SME. An SME has under 250 staff, turnover of £45 million and any ownership by a wider commercial group is below 25%
• Local – your business address is within the Cheshire East, the Cheshire West and Chester, or the Warrington council areas
• B2B – you must be (or plan to be) trading business-to-business and not selling directly to consumers
Parking
There is parking available at the Little Roodee car park which is a short walk from the Riverside Innovation Centre. If you need a disabled parking space please contact the organiser and request one.
