Join Danny Quinn, NIDMAR qualified expert and workplace mental health facilitator for SAMH, to discuss promoting positive wellbeing as a people leader.
Every year, one in four of us in Scotland will experience a mental health problem. This means it is highly likely that people within your organisation are affected, but there is still a culture of fear and silence around mental health, especially in the workplace.
As a manager or team leader, you have the opportunity to create a workplace culture that promotes positive wellbeing.
Join the SAMH Workplace team on the lead up to World Mental Health Day for a practical and inspiring session designed for anyone with people management responsibilities- whether you're in HR, occupational health, or lead a team.
Taking place on 9th October, 10:00am–11:30am at Social Hub Glasgow, this 90-minute interactive event will help you strengthen your leadership approach and better support your team’s mental health.
The session will cover:
- Why workplace wellbeing matters
- Understanding the differences between proactive and reactive line management support
- Strategies and frameworks to add to your line management toolkit, including managing absence, promoting workplace wellbeing and facilitating supervision meetings
- Promoting self-care with a focus on managing stress, burnout, and vicarious trauma
You will also receive a digital comprehensive guide to managing your staff after attending the event, as well as more information about SAMH’s training products and advisory services.
Please bring a charged mobile phone, laptop or tablet, as interactive elements will run through Mentimeter. Tea's and coffee's provided.
Come along to upskill your people management style and discover how SAMH can support your organisation.
