Event description

Description

Hays Education are delighted to invite you to our free leadership breakfast session at Preston North End with renowned education expert David Cameron.

The biggest challenge currently faced in education is closing the gap between young people faced with disadvantage and their peers. It can be challenging, frustrating and, at times, difficult to manage needs alongside the other young people who need attention.

Open to all senior leaders the breakfast session will facilitate and overview and conversation about how we can engage alienated and disaffected young people.

David Cameron will draw on his experience not only as a teacher and school leader, but also as an individual closely involved with alternative provision and looked after children at a national level, to discuss strategies for active learning and on how to engage those disaffected students in your schools.

Whilst the session will ideally make you think and gain greater understanding of different approaches to help you deal with this challenge, it’s also a great opportunity to network with local likeminded school leaders and share ideas and best practice.

We appreciate that taking time out of school during such busy period is sometimes difficult to manage. Therefore, these breakfast seminars are designed to be brief and minimise the amount of time away.

The format for the morning will be:

8.30 am Arrival, refreshments and breakfast

8.55 am Hays Introduction

9.00 am Presentation Start

11.00 am Q&A

11.15 am Networking and finish
