The Army in the South East Challenge Day provides an opportunity to take part in a series of team challenges delivered by the Army which will allow you to develop teamwork and leadership skills and learn about yourself whilst taking part in fun, interactive activities.

For COLLEGES AND FURTHER EDUCATION STUDENTS ONLY (Aged 16+)

Tickets must be booked through your organisation, not as individuals.

The Army in the South East Challenge Day provides an opportunity to take part in a series of team challenges delivered by the Army which will allow you to develop teamwork and leadership skills and learn about yourself whilst taking part in fun, interactive activities.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for teams of 12 participants aged 16+ to take part in this event.

You may enter more than one team but please ensure you can fill an entire team.

One ticket is for one individual, you will need to book as many tickets as you require to cover those attending (not including staff)

Teams will compete in a series of Army themed challenges, using teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.

Lunch for all participants and their team leader(s) will be provided via ration packs. These come in Meat, Vegetarian & Halal, if you have specific dietary requirements we recommend bringing your own packed lunch on the day.

Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear to be worn (Sports kit acceptable) , coloured bibs (to be worn over clothing) and safety equipment will be provided by us.

The aim of the event is to promote understanding and awareness of the Army with themed challenges amongst young people; seeking to raise their confidence, self-esteem, and resilience through a range of exciting and challenging activities.

Participating groups are required to provide a minimum of one member of staff per team entered. That member of staff is to accompany the team and be responsible for the timings, discipline and safeguarding of their group throughout the day. Unaccompanied teams will not be allowed to participate.

OUTLINE PROGRAMME

0830hrs - Arrival and Registration

1000hrs - Opening Address

1030hrs - Stand Rotations 1-4 (30 minutes per stand including rotation)

1230hrs - Lunch

1330hrs - Stand Rotations 5-8 (30 minutes per stand including rotation)

1530hrs - Closing Address

1600hrs - Dispersal

COST:

We do not charge for participation in this event and all candidates including leaders will receive a ration pack during the day. You are however responsible for making your own transport arrangements to and from the event (ample free parking available). We would however ask that if you decide not to attend, you cancel your ticket at the earliest opportunity so that others may benefit from your place.

Please drive straight towards the barriers to the Guardroom and someone will be waiting to greet you and direct you to the car park.

Please ensure you arrive together as a team as you will not be allowed onto the camp without an escort.
