Description

A Leadership Development Day with Clore Leadership and Creative People and Places network

A day of thinking, reflection and workshops about how to design and put into practice models of leadership that work for individuals and the people and communities they work with.

We will look at emerging research on leadership in the Creative People and Places programme, consider the personal responsibilities and needs of leaders, and how policy and practice could shift to make leadership something genuinely collaborative done by, with and of people and place.

Please join us for a unique opportunity to engage with current research and thinking and be part of the conversation about leadership for creative change.

By, With and Of: Leadership in Creative Communities

Creative People and Places network is exploring and interrogating styles of leadership and the uses and impact of these approaches within local communities as well as on the leaders themselves.

Through speaker provocations and interactive sessions you will shape thinking and learn from findings.

Participants will:

  • Share and explore emerging styles and models of leadership in socially engaged cultural practice
  • Interrogate approaches to sharing and facilitating leadership and its wider impact on communities
  • Discuss how different leadership styles have a personal impact on the leaders themselves, with a focus on self-care and wellbeing
  • Discuss what these models of leadership mean for policy makers and the wider cultural sector

About Creative People and Places

Creative People and Places (CPP) is an action research programme, funded by Arts Council England through the National Lottery, that aims to increase arts engagement in places where people have had fewer opportunities to get involved with the arts. There are 21 independent CPP projects who collectively make up CPP network. In each of these places more people are taking the lead in choosing, creating and taking part in art experiences in their local area.

Speakers to be confirmed shortly.

Hosted by Transported, a CPP project, with its lead partner the University of Lincoln.
