Wayne is Managing Director of Cedar Court Hotels, leading the transformation and growth of one of Yorkshire’s most prominent independent hotel groups. With over 25 years of leadership experience across the hospitality sector, with a well-earned reputation for repositioning hospitality business’, delivering large-scale refurbishments, and building high-performing teams he is passionate about the develop of strong customer-driven and commercially focused teams.
A true advocate for community partnerships, and the development of a reformed positive and energised image for the hospitality industry, Wayne has overseen and driven initiatives including s being the first corporate sponsor to support Bradford 2025, development of number of new business’s with the footprint of Cedar Court Hotels as well a clear focus on culture and development of his teams, which has seen his hotel business being listed as one the Caterer's Best 30 Places to Work in Hospitality in 2025.
Wayne also plays a key leadership role beyond Cedar Court, leading the Leeds Hotels and Venue Association (LHVA) as Chairman for the last 7 years, focused on initiative such as a Hospitality Management degree partnership with Leeds Beckett University, in which the Leeds hotels partner and provide a semester of industry experience and hotel based projects as part of the university degree’s offering, a first in the UK university landscape.
