Description

Leadership for Effective Wellbeing

Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you are a leader, success is all about growing others.’ Jack Welch, past Chief Executive, General Electric Company

Leadership is crucial to the building of effective teams and employee wellbeing at work yet recent research reports that ‘up to 75% of people say that the most stressful part of their job is their immediate supervisor.’

Many leaders do not understand the vital link between their beliefs and attitudes – their mindset – and their leadership style and how this impacts those that they influence and lead.

This half-day (three-hour) workshop has been designed to help leaders at all levels in an organisation explore their leadership style and through this workshop:

  • Understand the importance of beliefs, values, and attitudes in human behaviour and wellbeing

  • Gain a deep insight into their beliefs, attitudes, behaviour, and their mindset

  • Appreciate the importance of mindset on learning, change, performance, and wellbeing

  • Explore their leadership style and be aware of its effect on others

  • Consider what they need to change to improve their effectiveness as a leader

  • Identify key learning points to take back to work to help, develop, and support others

  • Leave with a Personal Development Action Plan

The workshop is facilitated by Howard Betts who has 30+ years of experience in the field of leadership and team development. It is based upon his experience and extensive research and work over the last 15+ years into how beliefs, attitudes, and behaviour impacts the performance of leaders, sales people, team members, and sports performers. The outcome of the research led to the creation and design of the ‘Beliefs and Attitude Mindset Questionnaire’ – an 80-question online questionnaire with an individualised 19-page report based upon their answers.

Pre-workshop: Each participant will be sent an invite to complete online the ‘Beliefs and Attitude Mindset Questionnaire’. Their report will be given out on the day.

The workshop will start promptly at 08.30hrs with coffee and tea available from 08.00hrs. The session will finish by 12.00hrs.
