By aligning the leadership capacity of the organisation to its values and strategy, the HR department plays a vital role in developing organisational cultures that are cohesive, competent and have competitive advantage. Furthermore, HR professionals are leaders themselves. Their actions, leadership, and development have huge impact. HR is not a function that sits outside the organisation.
