About this event

This is not a training programme, webinar or large-scale video presentation. This is a personal, hands-on, interactive series of seminars with world leading experts in their field. Participation in this series is limited to a maximum of 20 delegates.

The 'Personal Branding: An effective growth strategy for you - and your agency' Leadership Seminar is part of our “mini-series” seminar programme. All Leadership Seminars are designed to provide independent agency leaders with what they want and need now: to learn, share and network with real people who are facing the same challenges.

Each series is made up of five two-hour Zoom seminars. Five world class consultants will each lead one seminar, with a unifying theme across all sessions.

Between 10 and 20 people will participate in each series. To ensure value for everyone, each participant is encouraged to attend all five seminars.

If you are an Independent Agency leader – then to a great extent, you ARE your brand. And just like your clients, you need to know what your personal brand stands for; how to project your values effectively and confidently; how to engage an audience, and talk to a camera, in a world where there are no second chances; and how to tell your own story in the way that you want it to be heard; and what to do, when things go wrong!

This series reveals:

  • How to decide and recognise what you stand for – and craft a ‘personal narrative’ to express that, authentically and convincingly
  • How to get past your own perception of you as a communicator – and learn the confidence to use the talents you have
  • Appearing on TV, or in Social media: the tips and tricks that top performers use, to ‘get it right first time’, from Fortune 500 CEO’s to popular celebrities
  • What to do when things go wrong – and turning the fast-changing nature of the digital media to your advantage
  • And finally – drawing the threads together: constructing a personal communications plan, to achieve your personal brand and business objectives

All sessions will take place at 08.00 New York / 13.00 UK / 14.00 CET / 20.00 Hong Kong

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Eligibility

Participation is limited to Owners, Directors and Staff of independent marketing and communications agencies, from any country. “Independent” means not majority owned, controlled or co-branded by traditional network agency holding companies i.e. WPP, Publicis, Omnicom, IPG, Denstu, Havas or MDC. If in doubt, please contact stephanie.fox@thenetworkone.com before making your booking.

All kinds of marketing and communications agencies are equally welcome: creative, media, PR, experiential, branding and design and all kinds of digital and social communications agencies.

Some programmes are limited to specific groups, for example “Owners, CEO’s and Senior Directors.” In this case, this is clearly stated in the programme description. Otherwise, programs are open to any member of the agency’s staff, including freelancers on long term contracts.

If thenetworkone is in doubt about your agency’s eligibility, or the eligibility of any participant, we will contact you to verify this within seven days of your registration. If it is not clear to us that you meet the criteria, we may elect in our absolute discretion to cancel your registration and refund your fee.

Minimum number of participants

In order to ensure a high quality experience for everyone, each program must have at least ten participants. If this number of confirmed participants is not achieved by one week before the start date, the program will be cancelled and any money you have paid will be promptly refunded.

Maximum number of participants

In order to ensure a high quality experience for everyone, each program will have a maximum of twenty participants.

Technical requirements

All programs will be delivered online, in English. Thenetworkone’s zoom account will be used unless otherwise advised. You will need to have an up to date and working zoom account and a good internet connection, with camera and sound enabled; but otherwise no special software is required. To take full advantage of the opportunity, a PC, laptop or tablet is recommended, rather than a mobile phone. If any presenter would like to use additional technology which requires additional software, this would be checked and confirmed with participants, in advance.

Dates and timings

Since the opportunity to engage with a like-minded but diverse group of participants is an important benefit of this program, each participant is strongly encouraged to attend all five seminars in the program. Please check the dates and times before you book your place, taking into account the time zone you will be in.

Payment

Full program payment is due at the time of booking and should be made via Eventbrite’s secure credit card payment facility. No booking is confirmed until payment is received. Prices include Eventbrite’s booking fee, the cost of which will be paid by thenetworkone. In case you need to pay by any other means, please contact Stephanie Fox at thenetworkone, stephanie.fox@thenetworkone.com. An additional charge may apply.

In case you need to pay by any other means, please contact Stephanie Fox at thenetworkone, stephanie.fox@thenetworkone.com. An additional charge may apply.

Currently, agencies based outside UK in other countries are not liable for UK tax, but if this situation changes and we are legally obliged to charge VAT or any other tax, we reserve the right to do so.

UK based agencies must also pay VAT (tax): please ensure you select a VAT inclusive place if this applies to you. If so, you will receive a tax invoice enabling you to reclaim this tax if you are UK VAT registered.

Who can make the booking?

Agency delegate bookings may only be made by, or on behalf of Owners and Senior Directors of independent marketing and communications agencies. The name and contact information (email address) of the participant must be clearly stated.

Changes to the program

Presenters and facilitators are advertised in good faith, but thenetworkone cannot guarantee the participation of any individual facilitator. Thenetworkone reserves the right to make alterations to the program content.

All presenters listed have confirmed their availability and willingness to participate and their commitment to the advertised dates. In case of non-appearance due to force majeure, for example if the presenter is ill or incapacitated or otherwise unable to participate, and no comparable substitute is available, we will use our best efforts to reschedule the seminar to a date when all participants can attend. If we are unable to do this, we will refund any participant who cannot make the new date, a proportional amount of the fee paid (so if one seminar out of five does not take place, you will be refunded 20% of the program fee).

Refunds policy

Refunds are at the absolute discretion of thenetworkone and will normally only be offered in the event of the cancellation of the event, due to unavoidable reasons outside our control. In case of cancellation of the event for any reason, thenetworkone’s liability will be limited to the money received by thenetworkone from registered delegates, directly or via Eventbrite. However, a substitute delegate of similar seniority may attend the conference in place of the booked delegate, at no additional cost, subject to written confirmation provided by you and acknowledged by thenetworkone, at least 24 hours before the start of each program.

There is no right to a refund except in case of the cancellation of the event. If the entire event is cancelled, you will receive a refund of all money you have paid, within two weeks. If an individual seminar is cancelled due to force majeure (such as the illness or incapacity of the facilitator, with no comparable substitute available), and the seminar cannot be rescheduled at a date convenient to you, you will be refunded a proportional amount (for example, if one speaker cancels), you will be refunded 20% of the course fee.

Data privacy

You agree by booking this program that you may be contacted by thenetworkone and/or the presenters and/or other program participants, before, during and after the event. You may ‘unsubscribe’ from this commitment, from two weeks after the completion of the program.

You may be offered the chance to join a WhatsApp group including thenetworkone co-ordinators, the presenter/facilitators and the other participants in this program. This will be co-ordinated by thenetworkone until the completion of the program. Delegates may then choose whether and how they remain in contact with each other.

Your data will not be sold to, or shared with, other third parties without your written permission.

Seminar presentations (but not breakout discussions) may be recorded. If you are recorded ‘on camera,’ this will never be publicly shown without your written permission.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many people from my agency can attend?

Registration for each series is limited to one or two people from each agency. This is to facilitate participants’ opportunity to meet and engage with people from different agencies and develop new relationships if they wish.

Are substitutes allowed?

If you have registered for the event and are unable to attend, please let us know in writing (email is fine). We can accept a substitute from your agency until 24 hours before the start of the first seminar, providing he or she also meets the eligibility criteria. There is no charge for this. After the programme begins, substitutes may only be accepted at the discretion of thenetworkone.

Is there an advantage to booking early?

YES. WE RECOMMEND YOU BOOK NOW. All programs are strictly limited to 20 participants, to ensure the quality of each person’s experience. If your first choice program is sold out, we recommend you check others which are still available. Details can always be found at www.thenetworkone.com.

Do you operate a waiting list for sold-out programs?

If you would like to attend a sold-out program, please write to stephanie.fox@thenetworkone.com and ask to be waitlisted. If no place becomes available, you will be offered priority booking if the program is repeated at a later date.

Can I book for more than one program?

Yes. You will need to register separately for each one. Check www.thenetworkone.com for booking links and to see what’s available.

Who is responsible for running the program?

The program is offered and will be managed by Thenetworkone Online Limited. Any correspondence should be addressed by email to Julian Boulding (julian.boulding@thenetworkone.com) or Stephanie Fox (stephanie.fox@thenetworkone.com), tel +44 207 240 7117.

A representative of thenetworkone (usually Stephanie Fox) will be available during each seminar to assist presenters and participants, as required.
