About ODST Leadership seminars

Leadership seminars form a key aspect of developing ODST school leadership for 2023-24. They are designed for one senior leader or middle leader from each ODST school to attend each session, eg a head attending alternately with another leader.

What? Leadership Seminars will improve the training and development offer for ODST school leaders. There is a broad range of sessions throughout the year that will help us develop our own leadership repertoire. They will cover specific areas of school leadership, and thorny issues we all face. They will be led by leaders with experience and knowledge in each area, with plenty of case studies and examples. This is to be a high-quality offer and we will reserve one place at each seminar for your school.

Who? ODST Headteachers, senior leaders or middle leaders are all welcome to attend, alternating attendance depending on topic. We expect one person per school to join each seminar . Though if you are a bigger school and you’d like two places for any session please contact us.

When? All sessions will run on Thursday from 1.30–3.30pm, and most will be held at ODST Wantage. Some sessions will be held online - See schedule below for details.
